Scott Winicour
CEO
As CEO of Gibraltar Business Capital (GBC), Scott focuses on the overall strategic direction of the company as well as the credit, underwriting, sales and marketing aspects of the business. Scott founded GBC in April of 2010 when he led the management buyout of Gibraltar Financial Corporation (GFC), an asset-based lender established in Chicago in 1951. Scott began his finance career as an account executive in 1995 at GFC. Earning his way up from the ground floor—learning the sales, credit, operations and underwriting processes—Scott took over the operations in 2005. As CEO of GBC, Scott oversees the credit committee and gets personally involved in each transaction. Under Scott’s leadership, the company has supported over 300 lower middle market clients and grown assets under management by 300%. Scott is active in a variety of industry organizations, including the Turnaround Management Association and the Secured Finance Network. Scott is also a regular speaker and has published several articles for a variety of industry publications. He also volunteers as the Vice Chairman of the Cancer Wellness Center (www.cancerwellness.org), a nonprofit that provides supportive care and education, free of charge, to improve the emotional and physical well-being of people living with cancer.

Chris Gouskos
SVP, Southeast and South Central Regions
Chris is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience spanning asset-based lending, consumer finance, capital markets, and credit management. He has built and led ABL platforms at Conseco Finance and Textron Financial, managed FDIC contracts at Focus Management Group, and held senior roles at GE Capital, Bank of America, and Heller Financial.
Most recently, Chris spent nine years at White Oak, originating cash flow and ABL transactions. In 2023, he joined White Oak’s dedicated ABL team to focus on larger-ticket deals in response to rising investor demand. Chris holds a BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University, Series 7 and 63 licenses, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Robin Oertel
SVP, Central Region
Robin possesses over 25 years of experience in the ABL industry at both regulated and non-regulated institutions including over 17 years at Wells Fargo Capital Finance and 7 years at Guaranty Business Credit (via acquisition of FINOVA and Fremont Financial). Robin’s experience across roles in field examination, relationship management, and business development allows her to create solutions that meet or exceed client and referral source expectations. Robin is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and Association for Corporate Growth. Robin is originally from Northern Michigan and graduated from Ferris State University. Robin, her husband, and their three boys enjoy outdoor activities including fishing, golfing, boating, baseball, skiing, and football.

Joe Messineo
SVP, Northeast Region
Joe leads Gibraltar’s origination activities in the Northeast Region, bringing over 25 years of experience creating customized capital solutions for lower middle-market businesses. Before joining Gibraltar, he was Director of Business Development at Edge Capital, where he sourced and structured $5MM – $25MM asset-based loans. Earlier in his career, he held various investment banking roles in structured credit and was also an entrepreneur, having founded three businesses, leading one to a successful exit. He has degrees in Finance and Marketing from Drexel University and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Secured Finance Network, and the Turnaround Management Association. Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, snowboarding, listening to live music, and engaging in various outdoor activities.

Steve Parker
SVP, West Region
Steve has over 25 years of experience in new business development, with a strong focus on Asset-Based Lending. He began his ABL career with the National Bank of Canada, where he played a key role in launching the bank’s Western Canada office. Before joining Gibraltar, Parker was a Managing Director at Great Rock Capital and held senior positions at PNC, CIT, and GE. Steve earned his BA in Economics from the University of Victoria and is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). Outside of work, Parker is an avid swimmer and enjoys travel and spending time with his three boys in his spare time.

Diane Jankowski
VP, Loan Structuring Officer
Diane joined the Sales Team in 2018 with 25 years of experience in underwriting and relationship management from her tenure at JPM Chase Bank and GE Capital. She works closely with the Business Development Officers to understand prospective borrower operations in order to structure financing solutions to meet their liquidity needs. Diane is a graduate from Elmhurst College who later pursued her MBA in Finance. She also is a member of the Secured Finance Network. In her free time, Diane teaches yoga and is actively involved in several mental health and emotional wellness organizations.
